My Continuing Journey in PR

Hello friends, classmates, colleagues and others, Jake Moser is back! I have been away from the blogging scene for the last four or five months due to it being summer and all. Summer was a great time; glad to be able to relax seeing as how I could only manage to snag a part-time position at my local grocery store. Lucky for me, they always welcome me back with open arms if I am stuck without another job. The last time I blogged was when I was involved in a student project for a sales class and we attempted to raise funds for hungry puppies at the Humane Society of Jefferson County. For your information we ended up raising over 500 pounds of dog food for the shelter at the Humane society! What a great experience it was working for such a great cause. the act of being selfless was a very rewarding and humbling experience for me and my teammates. Well, I have finally reached my fifth year of college, and it couldn't feel any better! I have only one more capstone course to complete for my Public Relations major and only two more courses in Marketing to complete my minor. It feels rewarding to know that all of my hard work in the communications department, and more specifically, the Public Relations emphasis, have all paid off in the long run. I am in the process of finding an internship doing some type of corporate sales. So far HawkJobs has been my main go-to site to find a position that might interest me. My dream is to work in something involved with sports marketing or athlete marketing. Working for an organization like the Green Bay Packers or an agency in Chicago like Priority Sports and Entertainment would show me that I have reached my highest goal. I will continue to make strides in the right direction and I will post soon enough! See ya later!
